Your total Self-esteem score is:

Interpretation: If your total Self-esteem score was lower than 14, you may be experiencing some difficulties with your overall confidence. If your score was below 9, it is quite likely that your self perception is distorted and overly negative.

Self-esteem is an essential part of one's psychological well being. A healthy, realistic self-esteem provides internal balance and the ability to make rational decisions about important life choices. On the contrary, a distorted, unrealistically harsh self-evaluation can be extremely painful and debilitating.

Improving self-esteem is a skill. As with developing any other skill, building self-esteem requires a structured approach, practice and patience. Counselling is aimed at providing the skills base and the structure while monitoring your initial progress.
